sorbitol is colorless crystal without smell and has a little sweet taste. The density is 1.489,slightly dissolved in carbinol, ethanol, vinegar, phenol and acetamide.

Usage:

Mainly used to produce Vc in medicine industry, to be used for dehydrate agent and diuretic agent in medical treatment, to be used as food addition ,antiseptic and antistaling agent ,and used to be the curative food for diabetes patients and antistaling agent of aquatic products. To be the excipient, humectant, antifreeze and sweet agent of toothpaste and to be the humectant in cosmetic, also used to produce emulsification agent, textile addition and paper making addition.
